Ardbeg Distillery

Ardbeg Distillery is a Scotch whisky distillery located in Ardbeg on the south coast of the isle of Islay, Argyll and Bute, Scotland, in the Inner Hebrides group of islands. The distillery is owned by Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy, and produces a heavily peated Islay whisky. The distillery uses malted barley sourced from Port Ellen and has been producing whisky since 1798 with commercial production beginning in 1815. The distillery has survived many transformations and controversies over the past century and her enduring story is one of irrepressible spirit surviving against the odds and finally emerging as “unquestionably, the greatest distillery on Earth.”
Ardbeg has been called “as close to perfection” by whisky connoisseurs’ world-wide and the distilleries first-class reputation is second to none. It’s a whisky that’s idolised around the world and has been named ‘World Whisky of the Year’ no less than 4 times in the last 7 year.
