Tasmanian Independent Bottlers is owned and operated by whisky legend Tim Duckett who has bought us the magical Heartwood whisky lines throughout the years.
For this expression, Tim has sourced new make distilled from Redlands Distillery (now known as Old Kempton) and matured it in Hobart, Tasmania. It was bottled in October 2019 with reviews been nothing short of stunning. 😉

Full disclosure….I absolutely love everything TIB puts out. If you’re the kind of person that doesn’t measure things when you cook – that creates by feel with a bit of TLC….if you like your flavours big and bold…this is for you. The mouth feel is rich and viscous, with a finish that goes longer than the Sydney to Hobart, or in this case the Hobart to Sydney. Sip it. Savour it. 500ml is enough. These are to be taken slow. Tim Duckett in his other life, produces some even heartier drops under the Heartwood moniker with a creative wizard theme and a magicians touch. He’s certainly put a spell on me.
