Description
Here’s a delightful Ardnamurchan at a great price point, made using Concerto barley from Broomhall farm. The whisky is a marriage of 18 ‘unpeated’ ex-bourbon barrels that were filled in 2016 and 13 ‘peated’ ex-bourbon barrels that were filled in 2017 and then finished in ex-Jamaican rum casks.
This whisky is honed and inspired by the finest and most spectacular location of any distillery in Scotland – The Ardnamurchan Peninsula. As with all releases from the distillery, a QR code on the back label gives you access to detailed information on all stages of production.
About Ardnamurchan distillery
Ardnamurchan distillery was built and is owned by Adelphi, an independent bottling company and is considered one of the remotest distilleries in Scotland.
With a keen eye on sustainability, the distillery is powered by renewable energy to reduce their carbon footprint via hydro-electric power and a large bio-mass boiler using timber from the nearby Ardnamurchan forest. The boiler provides heat to the distillery floor maltings and the distillery and the whisky is created using water from springs above the distillery drawing from the Glenmore River.
