About the Scottish Lowlands
The Lowlands of Scotland are renowned for producing some of the most delicate and approachable single malt whiskies available. Characterised by light, floral, and fruity notes, Lowland whiskies often showcase subtle hints of citrus, fresh orchard fruits, and gentle grassy undertones.
Distilleries in the Lowlands, such as Glenkinchie, Bladnoch, Auchentoshan, and Daftmill (just to name a few), capture the region’s signature style, highlighting the coastal and riverine terroir that imparts refined minerality and a soft, lingering finish.
About Cadenhead’s Enigma series.
The whiskies in Cadenhead’s Enigma series are just that – unusual, hard to quantify, perhaps even slightly contradictory. They can be single casks, vattings of multiple casks, blends, blended malts or whatever else the team can find that doesn’t fit into their existing bottling line-up, but meets Cadenhead’s only essential criteria – that they’re delicious.
