The 5th release in the Springbank ‘Local Barley’ series has arrived on our virtual shelves. This 10-year-old single malt was made with ‘Optic’ barley that was grown within a few miles of Springbank on the Kintyre Peninsula at High Cattadale Farm. The spirit was aged in combination of 77% ex-bourbon casks, 20% ex-sherry and 3% ex-Port casks. With a release of just 9000 bottles worldwide, it’s yet another fine example of Springbank combining both provenance and terroir to enhance our whisky experience. 😉
