Here’s Batch #7 of the hugely popular Balvenie TUN 1509 range – an expression that showcases Malt Master David Stewart MBE’s expertise and stock management skills to marry 21 rare and precious casks from The Balvenie’s aged whisky stocks bringing to life his 58-years’ worth of experience through an expression of exemplary quality and character.
This annual release was drawn from a combination of ten sherry refill butts, four American oak barrels and seven sherry hogsheads, all married together in Tun 1509 (a super large vat), which sits in warehouse 24, for three months before being bottled at the distillery. The presentation tube also comes with a diagram chart that details the main taste characteristics of each of the 21 casks used to create the whisky.
